Alan Ward is HSE Manager at BP, currently overseeing a $7 billion EPIC offshore oil and gas development in Mauritania and Senegal, including deepwater subsea tiebacks, FPSO construction, and floating LNG vessel commissioning. He manages contractor HSE performance across multiple regions, spending significant time offshore and internationally to ensure compliance and alignment with corporate standards. With 25 years of experience in onshore and offshore oil and gas operations, Alan has held senior HSE roles globally and is recognized for driving HSE performance improvement across complex, high-risk projects. He holds an MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering from Robert Gordon University and a BSc in Environmental Biology from the University of Essex.
