Adolph Banza is currently the Learning & Development (L&D) Superintendent at Kamoto Copper Company (KCC) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a role he has held since 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training programs for employees, contractors, and site visitors in the mining sector.
Prior to this role, Adolph served for six years as HSE Training Senior Supervisor and Translator at Mutanda Mining, where he gained substantial experience in training delivery, capacity building, and cross-cultural communication. His deep understanding of multilingual environments and workforce development significantly contributed to the safety culture on site.
With over three decades of professional experience, Adolph has held long-standing roles as a trainer of trainers, translator, and English lecturer. His areas of expertise span a wide range of safety and leadership training programs, including: Fatal Hazard Protocols, Risk Assessment, Industrial Safety, Train-the-Trainer and Coaching Programs, Fundamentals of Incident Investigation (5 WHYs), 5 WHYs vs. ICAM Methodology, Psychological Science in Incident Investigations (e.g., Interview Techniques), Investigation Governance for Managers and Executives, Situational Awareness, Occupational Violence and Aggression, Witness Interviewing Techniques, etc.
